The Clinical Experience of Professor Li Li in Treating Hiccups

呃逆又称打嗝,是指胃气上逆动膈,以气逆上冲,喉间呃呃连声,声短而频,难以自制为主要表现的病证[1]。本病轻者可不药自解,重者缠绵难愈。其病位在膈,病变关键在胃。本文阐述了李鲤教授在临床中治疗呃逆的经验,以和中降逆为基本治疗原则,配合温中散寒,清热泻火、疏肝解郁、顺气降逆、补脾温肾、生津止呃等法,治疗呃逆,疗效显著。

Hiccups, commonly known as ＂ giving out a sound from the throat＂, referring to adverse rising of the stomach qi causing a shout but frequent sound when it comes through the throat, and it is a continuous or intermittent symptom which can not be controlled by oneself. Light pathogenetic condition can recover for illness without medical help, but for the severe condition, it will be insusceptible for treatment. The disease locates in the diaphragm, and the key of the pathological change is the gastric lesions. The experience of Professor Li Li in treating hiccups in the clinical practice was described in this paper, regulating stomach and descending adverse qi was treated as the basic therapeutic principles, together with the methods such as warming middle and dispelling cold, clearing heat and purging fire,soothing liver to relieve depression, regulating qi, tonifying the spleen and kidney and reverse, promoting fluid production to stopping hic-cups, which acheved remarkable curative effects.
