一般的教育分层研究主要涉及地域和种类两大领域。从教育公正角度研究大学内在分层,这种分层主要是指各大学及其内部的不同院系基于提高办学效率、打造人才高地,从录取的新生中选取高分考生组建各种实验班、基地班、中外合作班等各类重点班。这也是近年来教育部为回答"钱学森之问"而推崇的"珠峰计划",它是中国大学追赶世界一流大学的重要组成部分。然而,公正缺位导致整个分层并未彰显大学精神,反而背离大学之道,相应地也不可能真正提高大学教育质量。
