白朴家族的兴盛伴随着金元政权的迭兴,也与其迁徙之地的地域文化有关。白氏祖籍隩州在北宋处于边境地带,文化落后,宋金易代之后当地教育发展,白朴伯父白贲与父亲白华得以考中进士。金亡之际,白华投宋降蒙的态度显示出其政治上的灵活性,体现出北方士人受到女真族报德观念的影响。金亡后白朴父子居于真定,史氏治理下真定繁荣的文化,元好问、史天泽等人对俗文学的关注造就了白朴的元曲成就。白朴晚年漫游江南各地,居于金陵,其词作显示出南方文化的影响。

After the dynasty of Jin, Bai pu and his father lived at Zhen ding. Following Zhending＇s prosperity of culture under the goverance of Shi, and Shi tianze and Yuan Hao wen＇s focus on popular literature, Bai Pu＇s achievements in Yuanqu were well developed. In his late time, Bai Pu stayed around Jiang nan and choosed to live in Jin ling, thus it is easy to understand his writing was influenced by the southern culture.
