由湖北省歌剧舞剧院创排的原创歌剧《八月桂花遍地开》首演于2014年5月,那时候仿佛季节未到,这株初绽的“桂花”,稚嫩、青涩,不尽如人意。此番由湖北省歌剧舞剧院和湖北武汉剧院联合主办的首届湖北武汉歌剧节上,作为参演剧目,原创歌剧《八月桂花遍地开》再次亮相。恰逢金秋,这株“桂花”应时展颜,香溢江城。

Ever since The Red Squad of Honghu Lake premiered in Wuhan,Hubei province has maintained a solid opera audience,and the work still represents a pinnacle in Chinese opera history.In September,the Hubei Province Opera and Dance Drama Theatre presented the Wuhan Opera Festival,which attracted much attention.Below is an exclusive interview with Lu Xiangrong,President of the Hubei Opera and Dance Drama Theatre.
