蒙古族是否有自己的剪纸是学术界长期争论的话题,根据田野调查的大量资料来看,科尔沁蒙古族萨满教的剪纸很可能有力佐证了蒙古族文化历史的绵延悠远。科尔沁蒙古族萨满教中的"博"在实施法术驱鬼疗病时所使用剪纸的类型、意义、文化来源与流变等,是其魂灵观的又一重体现,这也可作为蒙古族萨满教文化研究的又一着眼点。

Whether Mongolians have their own paper-cut has aroused a long term debate in academic field. According to a large number of data of field surveys, Mongolian Shamanism paper-cut in Khorchin has provided a strong evidence of a long history of Mongolian culture. The type, significance, cuhural origin and changes of paper-cut used in Khorchin Mongolian Shamanism rites to exorcise demons and cure diseases reflect the concept of soul which is another focus in studies of Mongolian Shamanism culture.
