摘要
以新戊二醇(NPG)和异辛酸(EHA)为原料,以对甲苯磺酸为催化剂,通过无溶剂酯化反应合成酯类润滑油基础油新戊二醇二异辛酸酯。考察了反应温度、反应时间及催化剂用量等对酯化反应和EHA与NPG配比对NPG转化率及单、双酯产率的影响。结果表明:当酸、醇摩尔比为2.4:1时,合成新戊二醇二异辛酸酯的最佳工艺条件为反应温度140~150℃,反应时间4h,催化剂用量4%,此条件下产率可以达到95%以上。产物结构经核磁共振谱和质谱进行了确认。
Neopentyl glycol bis(2-ethylhexanoate), a kind of ester lubricant base oil, was synthesized through solvent-free esterification by using neopentyl glycol (NPG) and 2-ethyl-hexanoic acid (EHA) as raw materials with p-toluenesulfonic acid as catalyst. The effects of temperature, time, and dosage of catalyst were investigated on the esterification reaction. The conversion rate of NPG and the yields of monoester and diester related to the raw material ratio of EHA versus NPG were also studied. Under the molar ratio of 2.4 : 1 between EHA and NPG, the optimized parameters of reaction conditions such as temperatures of 140 to 150 ℃, time of 4 h, and catalyst dosage of 4% were determined. Under the optimal condition, the yield was not less than 95%. The molecular structure of the product was determined with NMR and mass spectrum.
