Survey on the self- care ability in elderly prostate cancer patients during endocrine therapy

目的了解老年前列腺癌患者内分泌治疗期间的自我护理能力现状及其影响因素。方法采用问卷调查法,用自我护理能力量表调查86例老年前列腺癌内分泌治疗患者的自我护理能力状况。结果老年前列腺癌患者内分泌治疗期间总体自我护理能力中等水平;学历、治疗时间及社会支持影响患者自我护理能力(P<0.05)。结论老年前列腺癌患者内分泌治疗期间自我护理能力大多处于中等水平,加强社会支持度有利于提高患者自我护理能力。

Objective To investigate the status of self- care ability in elderly prostate cancer patients during endocrine therapy and its influential factors. Methods Questionnaire survey and self - care ability scale was used to investigate the self - care ability of 86 elderly patients during endocrine therapy. Results The overall level of elderly prostate cancer patients during endocrine therapy was in average level; Education background, treatment duration, and social support could affect self - care ability （P 〈 0.05）. Conclusion The self - care ability of elderly prostate cancer patients during the endocrine therapy is in average level, and strengthening social support is favorable of improving the self- care ability.
