The Relationship between Chinese Ancient Novels and Dramas

在同一文化环境中成长起来的不同文体之间会存在一定的关联,或隐或显,或疏或密,如唐诗与宋词,诗歌与绘画之间的关系等等。小说与戏曲的关系更是常常被提到的一种文学现象,他们在起源上存在着一些相似性,经过后来的发展,小说和戏曲之间又有着明显的差别。

There are certain connection , implicitly or explicitly , sparse or dense , in different style which grow up in the same culture background , such as the relationship between Tang poetry and Song Ci , or novel and drawing. The relation between poem and drama is a kind of literary phenomenon which was often remarked . After the later development , there are clear differences between drama and novel although some similarities exist in the origin stage.
