摘要指代词是指称随语境的变化而变化的语言表达式。Indexical、deictic、和demonstrative均可充当此类语言表达式,但其中文译名和理解颇为混乱。比较而言,指代词是Indexical的比较合适的译名。指代词研究呈现出两条主要研究脉络,即语言学路径和哲学路径。其中哲学路径中包含三个主要问题:指代词使用的语言学—哲学预设,指代词的使用与个体对象的被给予方式,以及指代词与语句的真值条件。对这些问题的深入研究,有助于准确定位指代词哲学研究的重要价值。 Indexical is linguistic expressions whose references shift from context to context.Indexicals,deictic,and demonstratives are among such kinds of expressions,yet the Chinese translated versions of these terms are rather confusing and therefore need to be rectified.There are two main approaches in the study of indexicals,namely,linguistic and philosophical ones.Three fundamental problems are included in the later approach and are discussed in this paper：the linguistic-philosophical presuppositions in the use of indexicals,the use of indexicals and the way of picking out individual objects,and the truth-condition of the sentence with indexicals.
