黄遵宪对中国近代教育的贡献

On Huang Zunxian's Contribution to China's Modern Education

黄遵宪较早全面、深入地考察了日本教育制度,通过其著作《日本杂事诗》和《日本国志》向国人引介了日本的教育行政制度、普通教育制度和军事教育制度。在考察和引介日本教育制度的基础上,黄氏对中国传统教育和晚清洋务教育进行了反思和批判,倡导教育变革。此外,其著述和兴学活动还对湖南新学、戊戌维新和梅州新学产生了重要影响。近百年来,学界对黄遵宪的研究涉及文学、文化、思想、史学、法律和教育等诸方面,但对其在教育方面的影响和贡献的研究极为有限,尚存在进一步研究的空间。

At a rather early stage, Huang investigated Japan＇s education, and introduced Japan＇s educational administration system, general education system and military education system to his countrymen by his two famous books- Poems of Japanese Miscellanea and Annals of Japan. Besides his investigation and introduction of Japan＇s educational system, Huang profoundly rethought and criticized Chinese traditional education and the westernization education in the late Qing Dynasty, advocating educational reform. Furthermore, Huang＇s works and action had a significant impact on Hunan New Learning, Hundred Days＇ Reform and Meizhou New Learning. Nearly a hundred years, the research on Huang involves many fields including literature, culture, ideology, historiography, law and education, but the research on his influence and contribution to education is limited, thus there is still more room for further research.
