International Friendship in China's Resistance War

今年，是世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年，也是中国人民抗日战争胜利70周年。 历史的时钟拨回到70年前，在那个硝烟弥漫的年代，中国人民冒着枪林弹雨，抛头颅，洒热血，艰苦抗战，团结一心，直到胜利。在其间，一批国际友人，干里迢迢甚至远渡重洋来到中国，将自己的一段段友谊故事烙印在浴血奋战的硝烟中，谱写在抗日斗争史册里，镌刻在反法西斯胜利的丰碑上。

2015 is the 70 th anniversary of China's victory in the war of resistance against Japan. Japanese aggression caused 35 million deaths and casualties of Chinese people and US$600 billion in economic loss. China won the war in 1945. Many countries gave support to China, of which the most famous is the American Volunteer Group(Flying Tigers) led by Claire Lee Chennault. This issue contains several stories about numerous foreign allies fighting together with the Chinese: Israel Epstein, journalist, covered the Japanese Invasion of China for the United Press and other Western news agencies. In 1938, he joined the China Defense League, established by Soong Ching-ling, publicizing and enlisting international support for the Chinese cause. Minnie Vantrin saved many lives, especially young girls during the Nanjing Massacre.
