The CPC's Theoretical Innovation in Its Mass Line during Yan'an Period

群众路线是党的根本工作路线,也是党的领导作风和工作方法。在党的群众路线的创立、形成和发展过程中,延安时期无疑是最为关键的历史时期。这一时期,中国共产党不仅从马克思主义认识论的高度对群众路线作出新的理论概括,第一次系统地、完整地阐述了党的群众观点,提出并系统地阐发了"从群众中来,到群众中去"的根本方法,而且对党与人民群众的关系、群众路线与思想路线的关系进行了新阐释,并将群众路线提升为党的根本路线,列为中国共产党的三大优良作风之一载入党章。认真研究延安时期党对群众路线的理论创新,对于深入开展群众路线教育实践活动有着重要现实意义。

The mass line is not only the fundamental work line of the Communist Party of China（ CPC） but its leadership style and work style as well. In the formation of the mass line,the period when the CPC headquarters was located in Yan＇an undoubtedly plays the most important part. At that time,the CPC achieved a new theoretical understanding of the mass line from the perspective of Marxist epistemology： for the first time it systematically elaborated its notion of the mass line and proposed＂from the mass and into the mass＂as its principal working method. In addition,the CPC redefined the relationships between the party and the mass and between the mass line and the theoretical line,upgrading the mass line to the fundamental line of the party and listing it among the three fine work styles in the party constitution. Therefore,we have to carefully investigate the CPC＇s theoretical innovations in its mass line during the Yan＇an period,which has a lot of practical implications for deepening the current mass line education.
