摘要
高校图书馆学术研究水平在一定程度上决定了所提供服务工作的质量。在北美地区高校中,加拿大麦克马斯特大学首创设计的FMIR项目起到的作用是促进图书馆员之间的互动、了解图书馆提供的资源和服务内容、确定和促成潜在的研究项目等,尤其是FMIR要为图书馆员开展学术研究承担教练或导师的角色。我国高校图书馆应借鉴FMIR项目从策划到完成当中的设计理念、具体措施和关键环节,以提高图书馆学术研究水平。
The academic research level of university library impacts the service quality to a certain extent. The "Faculty-Member-In- Residence" (FMIR) implemented at McMaster University Library and being initiative in North America, aims to promote the interaction between librarians, realize the resources and services supplied by the library, identify and promote potential research projects, especially FMIR serves as a coach or mentor for librarians to conduct their research projects. To promote the academic research level, university library in China should draw experience of FMIR for reference from the design idea, specific measures and key points.
