The most of the Pre-Qin Period advisers were born poorly and they had to go under someone else's roof, being a hanger-on of an aristocrat, for their political life. They gave their advices and suggestions to their aristocrat owner and expected for the appreciation. Once they got their chance to prove themselves, for both themselves and the others, they did expend their whole life making contributions for the living lives, which is the style of the Pre- Qin Period advisers. But if they failed to get retired rationally and appropriately when their achievements were complished, they mostly got a miserable senectitude by flunkes' envy or their owners' suspicion.
