With peace and development as the theme of the times, along with the human society into me era uL knowledge economy, as well as the further deepening of economic globalization, at present and even in the whole 21st century, the philosophical foundation of higher education is not only epistemological and political, hut also economic. The economic theory is the important foundation of philosophy of contemporary higher education. Reviewing higher education from the perspective of economic theory contributes to clarify the theoretical foundation for the three functions of higher education, optimize structure of higher education, promote connotation development of higher education, and drive economic and social development, which can make the function of higher education fully develop.
