Cultural Analysis on the Differences and Similarities Between German and Japanese Diplomatic Attitude Since 20th Century

源于相似的国家性格,20世纪上半叶的德国与日本将世界置于战火之中。同尝战败苦果的两国经战后恢复,以经济强国的姿态重返国际舞台,却遭遇不同的外交处境。德国外交游刃有余,日本屡陷困境,这一局面是由两国在战争反省态度、国家定位及国内政治文化三方面的差异造成的。成功的德国外交为日本提供了借鉴。

From the similar national characters, Germany and Japan had put the word into the war in the first half of the 20th century. Though both countries came back to international stage as giant economic power after their failure on Second World War, they suffered from the different diplomatic situations. Germany finds its position and earns respect from the world very soon, while Japan can＇t make peace with its neighbors till now. This is caused by three factors：their attitude on the War, national positioning and domestic politics and cultures.
