新时期的土木专业需要培养"基础实、要求严、重实践、求创新"的应用型高级专门人才,对大学生创新能力的培养提出了新的要求。专业技能竞赛,作为大学生科技创新活动的重要内容之一,能够提高学生的创新意识和创新能力,增强学生运用专业知识解决问题的能力,高校应当以技能竞赛为平台从三个方面培养学生的创新能力:以生为本,培养创造性思维;以师为导,改革传统人才培养模式;以校为体,构造创新能力培养环境。

Civil engineering majors need to develop applied senior specialized talents of ＆quot;solid foundation,strict requirements, emphasis on practice,pursuing innovative＆quot;in the new period,puts forward new requirements to the cultivation of college students＆#39;innovation ability.Professional skills competition,as one of the important contents of college students＆#39;science and technology innovation activities,to improve the students＆#39;innovation consciousness and innovation ability,enhance the ability of use professional knowledge to solve problems by students.Colleges and universities should take skills competition as a platform to cultivate the students＆#39;innovation ability from three aspects：take the student as the ontology,to cultivate creative thinking;take the teacher as the guide,to reform traditional personnel training mode;take the school as the carrier,to structure innova-tion ability training environment.
