This paper expounds the implications and functions of CDM (Clean Development Mechanism), analyses the significance of CDM for solving the problem of environmental pollution in Shanxi Province and the possibility of realizing CDM in Shanxi Province, and points out that establishing CDM is the best way for Shanxi Province to improve the environment effectively and do well the economic structural adjustment.
