简要介绍了互联网与地理信息系统结合的产物———万维网地理信息系统,进而探讨了因特网在地理信息系统中的应用和WebGIS的实现技术,分析了互联网地理信息系统存在的问题与发展趋势。

This paper briefly introduces Web Geographical Information System (WebGIS), the result of the connection of Internet with Geographical Information System (GIS), and further probes into the application of Internet in GIS and the realizing techniques of WebGIS, and analyses the existing problems and developing tendency of Internet-based GIS.
