Therefore, only through the faith in God can the Jews achieve their redemption in the perfect promised world. Through the analysis of Gimpel＇ s bitter life experi- ence and the adulteress Elka＇ s ihll and salvation in Gimpel the Fool, this paper lays clear Singer＇ s mystical vision that the faith in God would bring modem Jews the redemption from the sufferings of the reality of life.
