本文强调了我院图书馆开展缩微工作的重要性;列举了新馆建成才5年而书库容量已近饱和以及解放前的体育书刊破损严重、急需抢救等现实情况;对我院图书馆如何开展缩微工作提出了比较具体的方法和步骤,提出了工作中应注意的问题.

The importance of adopting microfilm in the library of the Beijing Institute of Physical Education (BIPE) was stressed. Although it is only five years since the new library was build, its book collecting rooms are almost saturated; books and magzines published before liberation are severely demaged and are urgent to be rescued. The article suggested specific methods and steps in adopting microfilm in the library, as well as problems concerned.
