Different forms of self-citation rate: examples of misquotation of self-citing rate and self-cited rate of academic journals

为了使人们正确区分期刊的自引证率与自被引率,通过文献调研法,用案例的形式对已公开出版的论文中的期刊自引率的错误引用行为进行分析。错误引用类型为自被引率被误认为自引证率,自引证率被误认为自被引率。提醒人们进行期刊自引率研究时应严格区分这2种不同形式的自引率。

To help people accurately differentiate self-citing rate from self-cited rate,this paper applies literature research method to analyze with examples the behavior of misquotation of journal’s selfcitation rate in papers that have been published. The misquotation includes mistaking self-cited rate for self-citing rate,and mistaking self-citing rate for self-cited rate. It is important to remind people to strictly differentiate the two forms of self-citation rate when doing journals’ self-citation rate research.
