Discipline development is a core element of hospital management and the pillar and foundation of sustainable hospital development. This paper discusses the main ideas and key measures in the development of key disciplines in the hospital from six aspects： top level design, medical service, scientific research, personnel training, clinical teaching and information network building. It has profound significance in promoting core competitiveness and building a modernized research hospital.
