顺应理论视阈下的语用失误研究

A Study of Pragmatic Failure from the Perspective of Adaptation Theory

语用失误严重阻碍人们之间的交际,所以它一直是应用语言学界讨论的热门话题。本文将Jeff Verschueren的顺应理论作为其理论框架,分别从认知、社会和文化的方面去分析语用失误。根据该理论,语言具有变异性(variability)、商讨性(negotiability)和顺应性(adaptability)。笔者从缺乏商讨性的角度,即交际双方在交际中不能根据语境或对方的反馈及时地调控语言来完成交际的角度,进行由于交际双方缺乏商讨性而造成的语际语用失误与语内语用失误实例分析。

Pragmatic failure seriously hindered the communication between people,so it has been a hot topic in the field of applied linguistics. With Jeff Verschueren's Adaptation Theory as its theoretical framework,this paper attempted to probe into the causes of interlingual pragmatic failure and intralingual pragmatic failure.Based on the theory,language has variability,negotiability and adaptability. It also aimed to explain main causes of these two kinds of pragmatic failures that lie in the course of communication either the utterer or the interpreter fails to negotiate with each other.
