The novels of contemporary female writer Zhang Xin have unique characteristics. She doesn't lay emphasis on depth of thought and art form but on whether her works can be read and tell the truth or not. Her works show the significant cultural and psychological changes of Chinese society in the period of cultural transformation,exceeding the plane of narrative texts and presenting profound cultural connotation.
