摘要
以外语需求分析理论为指导,通过问卷调查的方式了解地方本科院校(以重庆市长江师范学院为例)学生对大学英语分级教学课程设置的具体需求。研究发现,学生注重英语的实用性,注重英语基础知识的学习,有强烈的英语应试需求,对专业英语、高级英语和学术英语的需求很小,对大学英语课程教学目标缺乏全面的认识。地方本科院校应正视学生的实际需求,通过明确大学英语的课程定位;改革课程形式,丰富课程类型;制定弹性学制,因材施教;改革期末考试考核方式;增设应用技能类、应试类大学英语课程等手段,结合自身实际构建具有本校特色的大学英语分级教学课程体系。
Guided by the theory of foreign language demand analysis,the specific needs of the students in the class of college English graded teaching are investigated by means of a questionnaire survey of local colleges and universities( taking Yangtze Normal University in Chongqing City as an example). The study finds that students pay attention to the practicality and the basic knowledge of English,and have strong demand for English exam but small demand for professional English and advanced English and academic English. They lack of comprehensive understanding of the goal of college English teaching. Local colleges and universities should face up to the actual needs of the students,make clear college English curriculum orientation,reform the forms of the courses,enrich the types of the courses,develop the flexible education system,teach students according to their aptitude,reform the ways of the final exams,add the application skills and exam oriented college English courses,and construct college English graded teaching system with their own features combining with their actual conditions.
