The Exploration on the Meaning of Chinese“除非”

现代汉语中,"只有"和"除了"是"除非"通常具有的义项,语言学界对"除非"意义的理解仍然存在较大分歧。本文在充分总结前人理论的基础上,从焦点理论和预设理论的角度,尝试对"除非"一词进行阐释。

In modern Chinese,'除非'usually has the meanings of '只有'and '除了'。There is still a big divergence in the understanding of '除非'in linguistics. Based on the previous theories,this paper attempts to explain the word '除非'from the point of view of focus theory and presupposition theory.
