In different periods of different countries, there were a certain number of sports venues as landmarks, which were the milestones of the start, growth and transformation of modern sports culture. After the 2008 Beijing Olympics, one of the problems the China's sports confronts in the transformation period is: whether there are too many large venues in China? Is it necessary to build more sports venues as landmarks? As a veteran in the media, the author believes that the spring of Chinese sports architecture has just arrived. The number of large venues in China is too small rather than too large, and with the comparison to the development of China's sports industry and sports business, the conceptions of sports venues from the view of China's sports ministry is quite outdated. Under the background of Beijing winning the host right of 2022 Winter Olympics, the development of China's sports buildings meet another historic chance: establishing an eternal historical and urban landmark for Beijing.
