明代江西旴江名医龚信,通晓诸科,尤其善治喉病及小儿麻疹,颇有建树,首提"麻疹"一词,且擅治麻疹所致声哑之并发症,撰《古今医鉴·卷九·咽喉》及《古今医鉴·卷十四·麻疹》专篇;详述咽喉之功能,论痰火之病机,列喉病之八症,察病脉之顺逆,急则患部刺血和吹药以祛痰消肿,缓则推内经从治以制火利喉,所论系统而详明。龚氏鲜明和独特的学术思想及临床风格,对后世江西旴江喉科流派的发展影响深远。

Ming dynasty Jiangxi Xujiang＇s doctor GONG Xin,who masters all clinical departments especially in largngology and measles of pediatrics,makes great contribution. He firstly raises the word ＇Ma Zhen＇and is expert in treating measles complications like hoarseness. He wrote the treatise ＇GUJIN YIJIAN. Vol. 9. Throat＇and ＇GUJIN YIJIAN. Vol. 14. Measles＇. It formed the academic thinking and clinical style which detail the function of the throat,discuss the pathogenesis about pyrophlegm,list eight symptoms of pharyngitis,prognosticate diseases clinically by pules- taking,remove phlegm and diminish swelling in an urgent case with methods of local application and blood- letting therapy,descend ministerial fire in a chronic case with the Huangdineijng＇s method by taking TCM by mouth.His unique thinking and style have vital influence on future generation of doctors of the Xu Jiang＇ laryngology school.
