现代汉语双音复合词的省略义研究

Ellipsis of meaning in the disyllabic compounds of modern Chinese language

省略是汉语复合词里的常见现象,在汉语中体现为一种语言文化风格。从转喻角度看,它是一种语用上的部分指代整体。对现代汉语双音复合词意义省略的方式和层次进行考察发现,它不但在语言的认知上受到复合词内部句法逻辑结构的制约,而且在这种结构框架下对语素义的引申有助推作用。

Ellipsis is a common phenomenon in Chinese compounds, and embodies a taste of linguistic culture. From the perspective of metonymy, it can be regarded as ＂a part for the whole＂ in terms of pragmatics. This paper studies some Chinese disyllabic compounds and their ellipses of meaning. It concludes that in terms of linguistic cognition these disyllabic compounds are under the internal control of their syntactic logic which helps the relevant morphemic extension.
