Kotoku shusui's socialist ideology and the impact on China

幸德秋水是19世纪末20世纪初日本最早也是最有影响力的社会主义者之一。幸德秋水对社会主义产生的逻辑、社会主义的基本原则和实现方式以及社会主义政治均有深入思考,还是最早对帝国主义进行批判的思想家之一。虽然受儒学和无政府主义影响,幸德秋水未能成为一个真正的、坚定的社会主义者,但对引进和翻译社会主义经典著作、传播社会主义思想、反对帝国主义战争均做出了杰出贡献,并献出了自己的生命,不失为亚洲一位伟大的社会主义播火者和启蒙者。

Kotoku shusui was one of the earliest and the most influential socialists during the reign of the Meiji Emperor （in the late 19th and the early 20th century） in Japan. He had deep thoughts about the birth logic of socialism, the basic principle and realization way of socialism, and the socialist politics. He was also one of the early ideologists to criticize the imperialism. Influenced by Confucianism and Anarchism, Kotoku shusui was hardly a real socialist, but he did make a great contribution to the introduction and translation of the socialist classics, the dissemination of socialist ideology and the opposition to the imperialist war. In the end, he sacrificed his life. Therefore, Kotoku shusui was truly a great socialist pioneer and enlightenment in Asia.
