On the Innovation-driven Issues of China Becoming a Trade Power

中国对外贸易迅速发展,已跻身为世界贸易大国。作为最大的发展中国家,面对全球化带来的重大发展机遇,中国要充分地认识到自身的优势与不足,从技术、制度、科技、人才这四个创新驱动因素入手,着重采取完善创新体系,加强对知识产权的保护,发展高附加值产业中的离岸服务等措施来完成中国实现贸易强国的战略目标。

China＇s rapid foreign trade has ranked among the world＇s major trading nations. China, as one of the largest developing countries, facing the most important opportunities for development as a result of globalization, should fully realize its advantages and disadvantages. For the purpose of becoming a powerful trade nation, China should take such measures as setting up perfect innovation system, strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights, and developing offshore services in the high value industry from the four major innovation-driven factors---system, technology, science and talents.
