摘要
运用图形象似性的相关理论和视觉符号的相关分析方法,研究了视觉符号在英语儿童图形诗歌中建构意义时"形意关联"的四种方式,尝试将图象符号作为象似构形的重要因素纳入到图形象似作用的符号体系中,同时指出儿童图形诗歌的意义建构本质上依托于诗人创作时的"情感灌注"和儿童阅读时的"情感参与"。图形诗歌和儿童思维特征之间的高度契合性决定了儿童读者在阅读图形诗歌时能够自如穿梭于自然生命和诗歌形式交错的视觉游戏之中。
This paper, from the perspective of graphic iconicity and on visual symbol analyses, elabo- rates the form-displaying performances and meaning-creating mechanism of visual symbols in terms of form-meaning associations and poets' and readers' emotional participation. It emphasizes that besides writing symbols, the graphic symbols are important iconic elements in graphic iconicity. The match between pattern poems and children's cognitive features enables children's pattern poetry to become visual games beyond words.
