摘要
华文教育撑起了海外华族的民族性内核,华文教育的最终目的不是使汉语言成为一种交流工具,而是期望获得更深层次的文化认同。当代印尼华裔群体已然跨域了移民初期先辈们对生存的卑微渴望,他们也不再把叶落归根、魂归故里当做毕生的夙愿,面对在居住国独特而多舛的历史运命,他们在"中华化"与"在地化"的对立统一中,寻求归属与尊重之间微妙的华族移民情感诉求与自我族群身份定位。
Chinese education is the core of nationality shaping for overseas Chinese, and its ultimate purpose is not to be used as a tool of communication, but to acquire cultural identity at a deeper level. Contemporary Chinese community in Indonesia has gone beyond the simple desire of making a living as the early immigrants did, nor does it dream of returning to homeland when old. Facing their unique fate of living there as immigrants, those Chinese people have begun to seek emotional expression and identity of social status by keeping a subtle balance between a sense of belonging and respect.
