Synthesis of a Variety of p-Phenylbenzyl Ethers

以醇类化合物为原料,对苯基溴苄为羟基保护基试剂,Na H为碱,DMF为溶剂,在N2保护下反应,制备一系列的对苯基苄基醚类化合物,收率良好。

A facile and efficient protocol for the protection of hydroxyl groups with p-phenylbenzyl（PPB） group has been studied. The reaction was performed with p-phenylbenzyl bromide as the hydroxyl protection agent and Na H as the base in the solvent of DMF under N2 atmosphere. A variety of alcohols can be protected to their corresponding PPB ethers in high yields.
