Agricultural experts of the World Bank talked about the sustainable development of agriculture

当前,中国经济发展进入新常态,农业发展也面临着生产成本快速攀升、大宗农产品价格普遍高于国际市场、资源环境约束增强、保障农产品有效供给和质量安全难度加大等问题。破解这些难题,必须加快转变农业发展方式,从主要追求产量和依赖资源消耗的粗放经营转到数量质量效益并重、注重提高竞争力、注重农业科技创新、注重可持续的集约发展上来,走产出高效、产品安全、资源节约、环境友好的现代农业发展道路。

China＇s agricultural development is faced with the problems such as the rapid rise in production costs, resources and environment constraints, higher price of bulk agricultural products than the international market and difficulty to guarantee quality safety with the new normal economic development. China must accelerate the transformation of agricultural development mode to solve the problems. That means the agricultural development must turn from extensive management persisting production and dependence on resource consumption to Intensive growth of quantity and quality. On the 2015 （third） China Food Security Strategy Summit, the reporter of International Financing Magazine interviewed Mr. Juergen Voegele, Senior Director and Agriculture Global Practice of World Bank.
