丝绸之路与西方观念中的中国

The Silk Road and Western Concepts in China

回顾了近代西方学者提出"丝绸之路"概念的历史,阐析了古代希腊、罗马学者透过丝绸之路对遥远的"丝绸之国"——中国的认识;认为丝绸之路不仅是中国与周边国家和西方世界交流的重要途径,而且是古代中国文明得以保持其先进性和独立性的必要条件;通过对丝绸之路历史文化发展的分析,指出"一带一路"倡议的实施终将使中国重现富强与繁荣,更是21世纪中国崛起的重要战略。

This paper,by reviewing the concepts of the Silk Road history put forward by modern western scholars,interprets the understanding of ancient Greek and Roman scholars to China,the distant silk country,through the Silk Road,and points out that the Silk Road is not only an important way of communication between China and its neighboring countries and the western world,but also a necessary condition to maintain Chinese advanced nature and independence in its ancient civilization. Besides,by analyzing the Silk Road history and its culture development,the author believes that the implementation of the proposal of the Silk Road,which is the important strategy to the rise of China in the21 st century,will make China more prosperous and powerful.
