Some foreign media outlets recently reported （ 报道 baodao） on the Chinese work ethic. For example, The Guardian, a London-based newspaper, on October 6 published an article, entitled How Hard （ 努力 nuli） Does China Work （ 工作 gongzuo）, in which it suggested Britons needed to pull up their socks and work hard ＂in the way that Asian economies are prepared to work hard.＂
