摘要
20世纪之交,以科学技术为主导的西方文化疾风劲吹,凭其摧枯拉朽之力将儒家文化推向自我反省的时代当口。这一时期的中国学者在其思想形成过程中,都不能回避一个共同问题:对西方强劲的科学技术文化和中国没落的儒家文化进行评价与取舍。早期现代新儒家认为,中国脱离贫弱离不开西方近代形成的科学技术及其为主导的文化,但不能盲目热衷、迷信其所创造的发展盛势,应以严谨与审慎的省察态度待之。这种立场所反映的科学技术观,即积极主张中国的西化及其现代化的同时,也要探求儒家文化源头真谛而辨析其是非优劣,重释儒家文化人文关怀的社会价值。
Around the twentieth century, as the leading of Western cultural, science and technology by his all-powerful force took Confucian culture to the era juncture and examined it. During this period, Chinese scholars could not avoid a common topic in the formation process of their thoughts that is how to evaluate and choose between the strong western culture of science and technology and the decline of Confucian culture. Early modern new Confucian thinks that China will be divorced from weak and poor can not be separated from the modern western science and technology as the dominant culture, but not blindly craves western science and technology to create a prosperous potential, which replaced by rigorous and prudent to examine.The distinctive view of science and technology advocates Westernization and modernization process in China, which still wants to explore Confucian culture essence of source and its pros and cons, and to reinterpret the social value through Confucianism humanitic concern.
