摘要
《天边外》是奥尼尔的成名之作,顾仲彝和荒芜在不同时期分别将之译介到中国,在功能主义翻译目的论视角下,从译者的翻译目的出发,借助于文本对比,对两个译本的翻译策略进行解读,发现顾仲彝在当时的时代背景下通过改译戏剧,发挥主观能动性,实现自己的翻译目的,开创了一条重要的中西方文化交融之路。
Beyond the Horizon is one of the most famous works of Eugene O＇Neil. Gu Zhongyi and Huang Wu translated it into Chinese in different eras. From the perspective of functionalist Skopos theory of translation, this paper discusses the translation strategies of the two translators by means of text comparison, and finds that Gu＇s translation purpose is achieved successfully through his cultural exchanges. subjective adaptation strategy to open up a new field for
