摘要
约翰·济慈是浪漫主义时期重要的诗人,他提出利用诗人的“消极感受力”感受自然之美并进行创作,强调美的神秘性和不确定性,认为美和真理都不能用人类的理性去探究。以济慈最重要的作品之一《夜莺颂》为例,分析了诗人如何以夜莺为载体在现实和幻象之间游离。诗人抹去了自我意识,进入了非理性的迷醉状态,更能接受向他绵绵不绝扑面而来的自然和死亡之“美”。
John Keats, an important romantic poet, proposes that beauty and truth cannot be acquired by rational/- ty, and instead, mysteriousness and uncertainty of beauty should be presented by the poet' s "negative capability". In his Ode to A Nightingale, the narrator' s consciousness keeps wandering between the reality and his illusions brought forth by the mysterious nightingale. The erasion of the poet' s self-consciousness and his irrational ecstasy enable him to feel the devouting beauty from Nature and from Death.
