Green Research for Sustainable Campus Development:Ideas and Strategies for Green Development of Yale University

耶鲁大学把可持续发展作为大学各项事业的"高优先级",先后出台为期6年的可持续战略规划。该规划把绿色发展确定为大学的长期战略目标。基于此,耶鲁大学在近年成立了8家专门从事绿色研究的校级机构。基于相关研究成果,耶鲁大学致力于改造与新建发电厂、翻新与改建大楼等。更进一步地,通过采用新型清洁技术降低温室气体排放。耶鲁大学在保持校园的绿色发展方面取得了世界瞩目的成就。

Yale University gives sustainable development first priority. Accordingly, it has promul- gated a sustainable strategic plan for the coming six years, with green development as a long-term stra- tegic goal. Guided by this goal, Yale University has launched a total of eight university-level institu- tions focusing on green research. Their research results motivate Yale University to devote itself to ef- forts such as renewing power plants and renovating buildings. Furthermore, by employing new clean technology and reducing green-house gas emission, Yale University has accomplished much in sustain- able campus development.
