现代社会的结构性变迁与价值观念多元化,不同程度地导致了社会成员的认同危机与身份焦虑。因此,认同与身份事实上是一个现代性现象。《家园》中的每篇小说都弥漫着现代性转型期的认同危机与身份焦虑,每个人都在为各种现代性的具体目标而身不由己地忙碌、奔走。现代社会的急剧变动性、不确定性、风险性与多样性使人们眼花缭乱、无所适从。故土不再安宁,家园不再清晰。既然衰败、凋敝、空心化的物质性家园令人触目惊心,那宁静、平和、自足的精神性家园又要何处寻觅?

Everyone is engaged in the specific objectives of modernity. People are dazzled by dramatic change, uncertainty, risk and diversity. The homeland is no longer peaceful and distinct.
