The quality control circle （ QCC ） was estahlished, the tools of QCC were used to identify causes of deep vein thrombosis among patients with lower limb fractures, and the improvement program was formulated and implemented. The incidence of deep vein thrombosis among patients with lower limb fractures reduced from 31.9% to 0.4%.
