摘要
Ovoeleidin—116(OC-116)是一种与生物钙化紧密关联的古老蛋白质,也是鸡蛋壳钙化层、表面有机层的主要构成组分。在蛋壳钙化层中存在两种OC~116形式:发生糖胺聚糖修饰的蛋白多糖(180~200ku)和不携带糖胺聚糖的糖蛋白(116~120ku)。单核苷酸多态(SNP)研究表明,OC—116与鸡蛋的蛋形指数、蛋壳厚度以及蛋壳强度密切相关。体内及体外研究表明,OC-116能够调控方解石晶体的生长与形态,从而对蛋壳的形成、质地以及强度有重要影响。另外,OC-116能够显著影响蛋壳表面有机层的沉积,可能是鸡蛋防御微生物侵染的关键因素。总之,OC-116是鸡蛋壳中一个重要的基质组分。
Ovocleidin-1l6 (OC-116)is an ancient protein, which was originally associated with the biological calcification. In chicken eggshell,OC-116 is not only the major component in the calcified layer, but also in the cuticle. In the calcified layer, there are two forms of OC-116,one is proteoglycan with molecular weight of 180 to 200 ku, which produces glycosaminoglycan modifications after protein translation; the another is glycoprotein with molecular weight of 116 to 120 ku,which contains no glycosaminoglycans. The SNP analysis results showed that OC-116 in eggshell was highly associated with eggshape index,eggshell thickness,and eggshell strength. Furthermore,both in vivo and in vitro results indicated that OC-116 was involved with calcite crystal growth and shape, which may be crucial for eggshell texture and strength. Moreover,OC-116 is significantly associated with cuticle deposition,and may be the key factor to defend bacteria invasion. Overall, OC-116 is one of the important matrix components in chicken eggshell.
