詹金逊提出尊重档案的原始性和证据性,认为文件是行政管理的副产品,是行政活动和事务处理的原始证据,因而不能有后加工管理者的人为干预。虽然部分观点在当代的适用性已经很差,但其理论价值却是绝对存在的。尤其是在电子文件时代,如何确保电子文件的真实性已经成为档案工作者努力的方向,强调档案的证据性意义更加凸显。

Jenkinson put forward the idea to respect the primitiveness and the nature of evidence of archives. He think that records are the byproduct of administrative management ,as well as the original evidence of administrative activities and the process of dealing with affairs, so that there can＇ t be human intervention of post processing trimmer. Although the applicability of some ideas is poor in contemporary, the theoretical value is absolute exist. Especially in the era of electronic records, how to ensure the authenticity of electronic records have become a diligent direction of the archivists, so the meaning of emphasize the nature of evidence is prominent.
