In 1951 Mao Zedong launched a critical movement against The Life of Wu Hsun.It not only denied the film itself,but also strongly criticized WU Hxun.Surprisingly,however,during the period between 1930 sand 1940s,the communists represented by MAO Ze-dong held a favorable attitude towards WU Hxun,which was often ignored by people who came after.To investigate the occurrence of this critical movement,if not＂to avoid mentioning those respected＂,people will find the movement was mainly caused by MAO＇s personal factor of＂limitations of watching movies＂.A reflection on this critical movement can bring to people a lot of profound revelations.
