Objective:To probe into the curative effect and nursing strategy of integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment for patients with recurrent oral aphthous ulcers. Methods:A total of 106 RAU patients were selected from the department of stomatology, and they were randomly divided into Western medicine group and integration group based on their visiting orders,53 cases in each. The patients in Western medicine group received the Western medicine treatment, while the patients in integration group received the dialectical Chinese medicine treatment on the basis of the Western medicine treatment. Then the changes of clinical efficacy score, pain score and ulcer number were compared between both groups. Results:The results of Ridit analysis showed that the effect in integration group was better than that in Western medicine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in pain score and mean ulcer number between both groups before treatment(P0.05),but the pain score and mean ulcer number of the integration group were less than that in Western medicine group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:The integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment combined with nursing interventions had the characteristics including high safety for treatment of the RAU patients, reducing the patients' pain and the ulcer number. Its curative effect was higher than that in treatment group with western medicine alone.
