Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the treatment of diabetic nephropathy by the method of invigorating kidney, strengthening spleen and promoting blood circulation. Methods: 70 cases of early diabetic nephropathy patients were randomly divided into the observation group (35 cases) and the control group (35 cases). The control group was given conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with the traditional Chinese medicine invigorating kidney, strengthening spleen and promoting blood circu- lation at the same time, and the course of treatment was 4 weeks. 24-hour urinary protein quantity, urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER), serum creatinine (Scr), fasting blood glucose, plasma albumin, cholesterol were measured respectively in the two groups. Re- sults: 24 hours urinary protein quantity, UAER, Scr, fasting blood glucose, plasma albumin, blood cholesterol index were significantly improved in the control group and the observation group. 24 hours urinary protein quantity, UAER, Scr, plasma albumin and other indi- cators in the observation group improved significantly compared with the control group ( P 〈 0.05). Conclusion : Early diabetic nephrop- athy with the method of invigorating kidney, strengthening spleen and promoting blood circulation is better than that of the conventional treatment of western medicine.
