旅美派文坛三杰之一米哈伊勒·努埃曼是阿拉伯世界著名的文学评论家、小说家、诗人,倡导诗歌与小说的创新,开创了散文诗体例。他创作丰富,涉猎广泛,是现当代阿拉伯文坛旗帜型的人物,促进了阿拉伯诗歌的革新和阿拉伯文学的发展,为自由体新诗的兴起与发展奠定了基础。我国学界对努埃曼的研究甚少,对其作品的翻译与研究自20世纪80年代开始,翻译呈碎片化趋势,只涉及个别作品,对其本人与作品的研究处于初级阶段,研究深度和广度不够,缺乏原创性,研究方法较单一,尚未形成专题研究。但随着我国对外国文学研究的重视以及阿拉伯文学研究者整体水平的提高,对于努埃曼及其作品的研究将会逐步深入、拓宽并进入高水平研究阶段,未来必将在我国兴起新的"努埃曼热"潮流。

Mikhail Nueman,one of the three outstanding figures in the Syrian American literature,is a famous literary critic,novelist and poet in the Arabia＇s world. He has advocated the innovation of poetry and novels,and created the prosepoem style. He is a flag type character in the contemporary Arabia＇s literary world who has created abundant works,promoted the development of Arabia poetry innovation and Arabia literature,laid the foundation for the emergence and development of free verse poetry. The research on Nueman in our country is so little and the translation and research of his works did not start until1980 s. What＇s more,the translation has been fragmental. The study on Nueman and his works is still at its primary stage.The research method is also simple. But with our country＇s attention on foreign literature research and the improvement of the Arabia literature researcher＇s overall levels,the research of Nueman and his works will gradually be deepened and broadened.And a new Nueman craze will rise in China.
